Here's looking forward to 2022

Hello from Wales
I just wanted to reach out and wish you the very best for 2022.
2021 has been hard on almost everyone, and I am sure that while many of you have achieved great things, there will be others like me, who haven't managed to get a fraction of the things they hoped to do done.
And do you know what I've learned this year... that it's okay. We don't have to be perfect, to complete every goal on time. We are constantly evolving and working around things beyond our control. Sometimes we lose control of the day or two, or three, and time gets away from us. There's nothing wrong with that. Maybe, that's something we need to accept going forward. Unwind, relax, take a step back and just breathe.
Poet, Edith Lovejoy Pierce once said, "We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day."
I love that sentiment, although, I think every new day brings us new opportunities, New Year's or otherwise. It reminds me of the song 'Unwritten' by Natasha Bedingfield. I heard this song on the radio in the car recently and it brought a huge smile to my face. I checked it out again when I got home and was shocked to see how rubbish the US video was compared to the one released in Europe (check out the European video on youtube, if you haven't seen it already).
So to welcome you to the 2022 in a few days time, remember that we can forgive ourselves and move on from the things we deem our past mistakes. As Natasha's Bedingfield sang:
Here's to 2022!

My very lovely daughter, Jennifer has missed a crazy amount of school so far this year, and had a mild bout of Covid back in October (She was fine, mostly cold-like symptoms. She slept a lot!).
During here time off, she kept up with school work from home and even started her own little businesses (she's way more organised than I am). She has been making journals and notebooks to sell on Amazon and also some mugs, desktop wallpaper, and printables to sell on Etsy.
She's ecstatic to have sold 28 journals, 1 mug, and 1 moon phase desktop wallpaper. Everything she wanted for Christmas apart from a coffee machine was art related (lots of new supplies, an art course through Udemy, and a graphics tablet).
I couldn't be more proud!
She's in the early stages (she is only 11), but eager to work hard and develop her business and products for the future. Although, I'm limiting what she's allowed to do as fun, fiends, and school come first :)

Until next time... Happy Reading!
