Are you doing stylish procrastination?

Dear Remi,
So...
Let's talk
You have the offer.
You built it carefully.
You have reviewed it, refined it, named it, and probably renamed it twice.
You have content planned.
You have a list of people who would benefit from what you do...
Names you know...
Relationships that are warm...
Conversations that are already halfway started in your head.
And yet.
Nobody has paid you this week.
I'm not going to tell you that you're lazy.
You are not lazy.
Lazy people don't build playbooks.
Lazy people don't spend four hours perfecting a diagnostic tool.
Lazy people don't know the names of ten people they could call.
What you are doing is not procrastination. It is something more sophisticated, and therefore more dangerous. It is stylish procrastination: the art of looking productive while avoiding the one thing that would actually change your situation.
The one thing is a conversation.
A direct, specific, revenue-generating conversation with a person whose name you already know, about an offer you have already built.
Not a newsletter.
Not a content calendar.
Not a NotebookLM output. #sideeye
A conversation.
Here is what stylish procrastination sounds like from the inside:
I'll reach out once the landing page is done. I'll send the offer once I have the right case study. I need to tighten up the framing before I talk to anyone. I want to feel ready.
Here is what it looks like from the outside:
a person building an increasingly beautiful structure that no one has been invited into.
I have watched brilliant, capable experts
People with genuine insight, real track records, and warmly interested prospects...
Spend months perfecting the vehicle while the destination remained entirely hypothetical.
The painful truth is that the market does not buy your materials.
It buys your clarity and your conviction.
And those are not built in design tools.
They are built in conversations.
The asset follows the conversation. Always.
The infographic does not open the door.
The conversation opens the door.
The infographic helps you through it.
So here is the one thing I am asking you to do. Not tomorrow.
Today, or at the latest this week.
Take the list
I know you have it
Reach out to three people on it.
Not to sell them anything.
To have a conversation about a problem they are living with that you know how to address.
That is all.
Three conversations before you build another asset.
If you do this and nothing happens we should talk because something structural may need attention.
But my experience tells me that most of the time, the conversation produces something the asset never could: interest, momentum, and the beginning of trust that eventually converts.
You have been ready for longer than you think.
The question is whether you are willing to find out.
Till tomorrow
Get out of your own way
