Artificial intelligence has ruined me.
I know some of you have probably been wondering where I've been these days.
And I gotta tell you, I took about a month off of using an AI tool, and it severely hampered my productivity.
You see, speaking is my superpower.
Writing is a thing that I'm learning to become a Jedi with.
And in doing so, over the last few years, I've had a secret weapon to enhance my writing. And it's this tool called Otter.
It's a transcription tool. That's about 93.7% accurate. Those are their numbers, not mine. I find that it mostly gets the job done.
But you do have to go back through it and make a few edits from time to time, especially when you speak as colloquially as I do.
Let's see if it got that word on the first try? (It did!)
There are so many things I want to talk to you guys about every day.
In fact, my system is burning inside filled with information that I want to disseminate into the world.
Writing feels like the slowest way possible of doing So!
Speaking is my SuperPower.
So with that, I'm announcing a daily podcast.
And it's going to be titled the same thing as this newsletter.
Real, Raw, Funny!
The hopes are, that if I give people daily, short bursts of content, I can drive them both to a longer form, podcast, and also this newsletter.
Because ultimately, I recognize that my superpower is the power of my voice.
I had someone tell me so after a show last night here in Austin at a spot called EastCiders, an incredible venue based around a brand of cider that's made on the east side of Austin.
The venue is closing down in two weeks due to lack of profitability.
They are on a side of town (Central Downtown Austin) where the rent is so high and the number of people actually coming out to the restaurant has dwindled over the months.
In fact, they've been they've lacked profitability over the last 14 months so that venue will be up for sale.
And itās a beautiful indoor/outdoor space.
My fingers are clamoring at the thought of perhaps taking it over.
But let's be honest, if it's too hard for them, to start a comedy venue, in the middle of downtown Austin, we'll probably require $150,000 in renovations, not to mention a hefty monthly price tag.
So who am I kidding, right?
Well, I'm a believer that you got to think big.
The Comedy show had been selling out for three months in a row now. And it seats about 70.
But also, the venue isn't really optimized for comedy. It's really set up, like a quick-take restaurant, with most of the space being on the outdoor portion.
So who knows how much it would really take to retrofit the space to make an optimal comedy venue?
In real estate, they say Location, location, location, is everything.
Perhaps I'll put a venue somewhere in the South Congress Area.
I actually have a friend who saw me headline excuse me, who saw me feature at a show about an hour from Austin at a place called Corky's in temple Texas.
She works in luxury real estate in both New York, and Austin and told me that she was looking at putting an office in the south Congress area.
So perhaps that's where I'll be hunting for a venue. But regardless for a decent venue and a solid location, you're looking at five to seven grand a month minimum for something that would be serviceable in the magnitude of around 100 to 120 people, which I feel is kind of the sweet spot for a comedy show.
But I digress and taking a month off of using this tool really slowed down my productivity to writing.
I was using the free trial they off to see if I really wanted to spend the $99 annually after the lowered the minutes allowed.
One of the things that this tool does is that it synchronizes to your calendar. And so if you have any meetings that happen to be virtual, your AI assistant will go knock on those zoom doors, or Google meet doors, and it will record the sessions.
Now on the free plan, it only records about 30 minutes, but it's to give you a taste of its power of it, which I think is a brilliant marketing strategy.
I have three pending requests for meetings that I didn't even attend, but my AI assistant was there carefully taking notes on my behalf.
The people in the meeting get an auto text dropped in the chat to click a link to get a summary of the notes. I can then decide to accept their requests, but also continue to build dialogue.
i.e. Super-Connecting.
Now look this email is not a veiled attempt to try to sell you on this tool.
I think you should get it!
For $99 annually you get 1,200 minutes a month. Thatās 20 hours of assistance for less than a cup of Foo Fooed out Coffee at Starbucks!!!
In fact, I think one of my good buddies Scott Dikkers has been telling me for months he needs to try it out.
Let's talk about AI for a second. Everyone is going crazy about ChatGpt, and I've been using Otter & a tool called Jasper combined for about two years now, and my productivity and revenue Have been going through the roof!!!
Iām closing in on $300k in two years, and by the end of this year, I think I will be about to double that revenue!
I recently attended a conference called GenAI.
This was a one-day conference with about 10 hours of programming 1,200 people in attendance, and countless networking and the insights and aha moments.
Since I am the Entrepremedian and only comedian/marketer, I know using AI in his business. I figured it'd be wise to get together and do an UpMind Mastermind and Share my tech stack and how Iām using AI to generate over $10k per month at the moment and scaling!
The cost of tickets to go to GenAI was about $250 bucks but Iām going to do my UpMind 4-week mastermind for $30 bucks before I raise it to $107 after the first 10 sign-ups.
The mastermind once a week, over the next four weeks to chop it up and give anybody interested insights on how they can use these tools to creatively impact their business, improve their productivity, and more importantly, enhance your creativity and allow you to have more fun creating.
I'm also gonna take the gloves off so myself and stop the excuses and start creating more on a daily basis.
To make things simple, I'm going to refer to a book that Iāve read in the past that I have on my shelf.
It was very inspiring, called āShow Your Work!ā By Austin Kleon
(Isnāt it ironic I live in Austin now!!!?)
The basic premise is that creating can be hard but documenting is easy!
Document everything you do. Whether that's video, audio, or written and just sharing it the world taking them on a journey with you!
You'd be surprised at how much trust you earn.
Because you see most people want to be action-takers, most people avoid the pain of changing habits.
They look in and imagine, and they wonder what life would be like if they actually did something new, it's scary sometimes!
They say you will only change when the pain of what you could be is greater than the comfort of where you are now! (I donāt know if they really say that but it sounds could with you preface things like that I think!)
I'm at that point in my life where I'm starting to see a lot of my old acquaintances appear on shows like Jimmy Fallon and Conan. Not that being on those were ever really a goal of mine per se.
But everyone's progressing in comedy.
Meanwhile, I'm progressing in business, so I know my pockets are probably a little bit fatter than most of them.
Bum I'm not gonna lie. I want the glory too!!!
So that means I gotta go a little bit harder in the paint. (Thatās a basketball metaphor. like Shaquille O'Neal bowling over his competition.)
I've got to enhance my discipline. I've got to fight the cold. I've got to get my steps in rain, sleet or snow.
Because I moved to Texas for a purpose. And that's to build my empire!
(I made the text bigger so you can tell that I was raising my voice.)
Anyway. If you want to hear this newsletter in audio form, send me an email, and Iād add you to my special club. Five bucks a month where you not only get the written versions of this, but you get the audio version full of all the gaffes mistakes, and you get to hear my own voice, not an AI oneā¦
Anyway, last night was the last show that I would do without coming prepared to build my list.
I got so many fist bumps, Pat's on the backs, and you're awesome. You were the best, which was awesome⦠But I felt sick inside because, other than a few Instagram accounts I didn't really do a good job of harnessing that energy and data.
That energy is oftentimes a once-in-a-lifetime moment, perhaps never to be remembered again.
Especially by me, because when you have 1000ās of nights of laughter, they all seem to blend together.
But I want to start capturing the nights and making them priceless. And selling them as NFT's Well, maybe not NFT's but you know, giving people the opportunity to recall that moment in its entirety.
That's enough rambling, itās been an absolute pleasure creating this morning!
Peace, Love, & Prosperity

Abundantly,
