Dear Undertow Friends,
Given these fraught times, it's hard to concentrate on anything but survival. And resistance. Part of resisting is to keep doing what we're doing. Persisting. So we persist.
Undertow Publications will be at a few upcoming events. First on the docket is DreadCon this coming Saturday, the 13th, in Burlington, Ontario.
This is a one-day event, 11 am til 5 pm, and has a stellar line-up. We'll be there with some of our titles. And if you are there please do stop by our table. It's only $5 at the door to get in.
Then on Saturday the 27th we'll be at CreatorCon, taking place in the Pickering Public Library, in Pickering, Ontario, from 10 am til 4 pm. If you're local, hope to see you.
Our good friends at Little Ghosts Bookstore are putting on their first festival! Little Ghosts Festival will run 2 days, Oct. 4 & 5, in Toronto. This promises to be a great event. General Admission is free, and gives you access to the Main Hall—which has a cash bar!—and 15 awesome vendors; plus also curated readings in the Living Room. There's some cool after hours paid programming, if interested. Truly hope to see you!
Thomas Ha's debut collection Uncertain Sons and Other Stories publishes officially on Sept. 16. But it's been shipping for a couple weeks. Grab your copy now. And if you are in the Los Angeles area there is a special launch at the North Figueroa Bookshop on Sept. 20 at 7 pm. Thomas will be in conversation with the great Brian Evenson. The event is free, we just ask that you register through the Eventbrite page so we know how many people to expect.
