Where is the true Church? 🕍
As an anti-Catholic Protestant before, I met other well-meaning Christians who sincerely thought (and taught) that Jesus established Christianity that eventually got corrupted after the death of the last apostle.
We were told that there was an apostasy and the Roman Empire took over the Church to establish the Catholic cult and the authoritarian rule of the papacy.
We were told that Christianity was only restored through the efforts of the Protestant Reformers — Luther, Calvin, Zwingli, etc.😱
You've surely heard about these accusations before.
But can we really know where is the true church established by Jesus? 🔍
Yes, the Lord left us on the very pages of the Bible and history the marks of the true Church — one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic.
We always profess these words when we recite the Creed, but do we really know what they mean?
