Welcome to the March 17th edition of Faith & Life Lessons.
You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week
One of the things that comes with moving around is that you have to travel light.
During the week, I got to visit my first base and looked at all the books, DVDs and CDs amongst all the other things that I haven’t touched in almost 10 years.
It’s interesting the kind of life I have had to live in recent times.
No, I’m not complaining.
A part of me realised that sometimes we never know the true meaning of what we are praying for.
When I was younger in faith, I prayed to be a missionary. God told me that was not His direction for me.
But He said I would have still had to live a life of faith that included moving around a bit.
Years later, I am living it and it’s not as fun as others might think.
It reminds me of reading the late Billy Graham’s biography in my teen years and discovering some of the difficulties travelling around had on him and his family.
I’m not complaining.
I have learned to trust God more.
Even though I would not exchange the life I live and continue to live for anything else, I cannot deny the burden that comes with it.
All I can say is “God is faithful.”
He makes the journey worth it for His Namesake and the Glory of His Name.
As we continue to share in His glory.
It’s been a ride.
Things I Learnt
1 - When Overwhelmed, Reach Out: On Wednesday, I got overwhelmed. I guess that will probably be a recurring scene in the movie of my life for 2024.
Why?
Because I have to do things that demand more faith from me.
More faith in God’s ability to perform exactly what He has told me to do.
Yes, God is the one at work in me to will and do the things He has called me to do.
It becomes increasingly challenging to know what I should be doing per time.
Later in the week, during a call with a wise mentor, he gave me the advice that would mark out this season for me.
The simple practice of setting time aside to ask God “What should I be doing next?”
As simple as it seems, it’s the discipline to practice it that really counts.
I am hoping to live by that consistently.
2- Be Ready to Give More: I was invited to speak at an event as a representation of my firm.
It was a panel session which I shared with two others.
My focus for the session was this - The Audience.
No, it wasn’t about boosting the visibility of the firm or making a good impression.
It was about the Audience.
I was going to inspire my audience to find their own solutions through the solutions my firm had found.
Having this defined how I answered every question and tried to connect with the audience.
I showed up ready to give more.
So they can become more.
Based on the feedback, I think I did that.
If you aim for the moon, work hard enough and you just might end up sending a man to the moon and back.
Don’t aim for less.
Postscript
May you have the courage to aim for big targets & aspirations. May you not reduce your life to living by targets lower than all you can become. Amen.
