I decided I would do a series of sales in the lead up to the completion of my current project, and the first is 'The Tyranny of Shadows'!

It was the first novel I ever wrote, and I am immensely proud of it to this day. I can still remember the first time someone paid actual money to read something I wrote, my first five-star review, and the first time I held a physical copy in my hands.

There's nothing like the first time. If this would be the first time you read a full-length novel by me, this is an ideal book to start with!

General Updates

I gave the finished first draft of 'An Elvish Rebel's Field Guide to the Art of Hit & Run' some time to breathe, and recently started my first full read-through. I am not editing just yet, but just warming my brain cells up a bit and wrapping my head around what changes will be needed.

So far, I haven't had the impulse to throw it in the fireplace, which is probably the most positive feeling a writer can feel. Reading over your own writing can sometimes be a bit like listening to a recording of your voice, or seeing an embarrassing photo you uploaded to MySpace as a teen. Not this time, though—at least, not yet.
