Two years ago I published 'Death of the Tree Path' - would you like a free copy?

Hello again!

April 2020, I published my second novel Death of the Tree Path. I was very proud of it at the time, and I still am. Two years later, I can still look through it and fondly remember coming up with the characters and the story.

If you've ever written fiction, you'll know how big a deal that is! Most of the time, reading my old writing makes me cringe a little. Many of my friends feel the same way about their writing. It takes a special book to evoke nothing but warm, fuzzy nostalgia.

Having said that, I did rewrite the opening lines recently. I swear, I did it out of love. I'll leave the book alone now. At least for another two years.

Anyway...

From now until Monday June 13th, Death of the Tree Path is free on Amazon.

Grab a copy, enjoy, and let me know what you think!

(Psst ... Let Amazon and Goodreads know what you think as well ... honest reviews help authors sell books. Even 1-star reviews can help!)

FREE - Death of the Tree Path

The Elixir of Power

I'm at 68% with the editing. Roughly 90,000 words out of the 133,000 word total.

Remembering all the 2,000 word essays I had to do in university, these numbers are just making me dizzy!

As I near the final 30% of edits, the little businessman in my head has started to bring up the issue of funding. Books needs cover art and editors (at the very least) to be worthy of the public. Cover artists and editors work hard, and deserve to be paid well.

So, for the first time ever, I'm going to try my hand at funding this project with a Kickstarter. I'll keep you updated as I go.

Here's what I'm thinking in terms of rewards:

Depending on the amount, those who chip in will be able to get a free advance eBook, a mention in the special thanks, a signed copy, or even, perhaps, a minor character named after them!

The best thing about Kickstarter is, if I don't reach my goal, everyone gets their money back. That makes it fair for everyone. It also takes the pressure off me — if I can't quite raise the money I need, I don't need to worry about letting anyone down.

Since there's no downside to falling short, I'm going to go for it!

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

What rewards should there be? What's the best way to get the word out there? Should I read excerpts of my books on YouTube in full costume?

Let me know!
