How are you doing? Is your holiday in full swing or are you still scrambling to prepare?

I'll be honest, I'm in scramble mode over here, so zero shame if you're with me on this one. At the same time, I'm reminding myself often (like almost hourly) to pause and soak up the moments.

There's a magic even in the hustle of the holidays, if you look for it. Since one of the things that makes my life so incredible this year is you, , I absolutely had to take a minute and appreciate you!

You see, I'm in the final count down till we load up the kids and head to our first ever family Christmas vacation. It's going to be really amazing to let someone else handle the cooking and cleaning for a change!

And since I'm going to be in vacation mode, I want to make sure I spoil you before I go!!

Now is a perfect time to reconnect with the excitement and enthusiasm for all the gifts life has to give. Truly ground yourself in the fulfillment that generosity can bring. Let yourself savor that moment when you are able to spread joy through the gifts you have to share. Then in your turn, be eager and truly open to receive your present.

Connect deeply with gratitude and appreciation for all that you have. List out what this year has blessed you with and then center yourself in that energy. This will prepare you for allowing more into your life with a truly open heart. Let yourself be ready to receive with an enthusiastic spirit.

Winter Wishes Coming True

With the solstice on Saturday, I'm looking forward to sharing the longest night in two powerful ways. Frist, with my family preparing for our first Christmas vacation to Great Wolf Lodge.

Second, I'll be taking part in the StarlightPNW Frosted Starlight Solstice event. This is an intimate event for those who love escaping into an elegant evening of fiction and community.

While tickets are sold out for this event, I wanted to share a tradition we'll be sharing with each other. The Yule Wishing Cone!

Here's how it works:

• Pick up a pinecone (wherever you're able to, one each or for the whole family)
• Create several small strips of paper
• Write down your wishes, goals, manifestations, and/or intentions for the coming season or new year
• Roll up each wish
• Tuck them into the cone
• On Yule or the New Year, burn the cone to release the wishes on the longest night or into the year ahead
• Optional steps: Dip or coat the cone in wax of a color to align with your main desire for the coming year, Sprinkle it with herbs or essential oils of your choice to match your intentions, Add a string and hang the cone from the tree or a window till it's time to burn, Burn it on your Yule log!

All Fun & Games!

I'm inviting you, as well as myself, to have some fun!! This time of year, I find myself wanting to capture every moment of that magical wonderment I remember from my youth and try to build with my children.

The magic of the lights, the excitement of the gifts, the urge to try each and every flavor as feasts abound!
