Have you been able to catch that super full moon? It's guaranteed to pack a punch.

The Hunter Moon is now in peak and it is a supermoon.

The October full moon is known as the Hunter moon because, traditionally this would have been a time when our ancestors would be hunting to prepare for the coming winter.

Especially on nights when the moon was extra bright, like this one! When the moon is closest to the Earth in it's orbit, we get the supermoon. It appears larger and brighter since it's up close and personal.

What's the big deal with full moons you say?

I mean, for one they're just so pretty! Am I right?

In many traditions, the full moon marks a time for release. Those intentions we set during the full moon are now to be let go so that the Universe can do it's part.

Things we've been struggling with or hanging on to, this would be the time to just channel your inner Elsa and 'Let it go...'. That also makes this a great time to do the shadow work and deep reflections.

How do you work with the full moon and manifestation?

Great question! There are a few schools of thought but I work with clients (and in my own practice) by using the full moon to look at what's not working or needs to be revised.

This is when I take a good hard look at whether I'm being clear on my visions, if my actions are in alignment with them, and where I might be self-sabotaging.

I think of it as letting the full moon illuminate what I may not have been willing to look at normally. Then actually make some changes based off of all that, not just figure it out and sit with it.

This gives you all the way until the new moon to course-correct. Awesome right?
