Hello ,

This past week Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi hosted a free, live, 3 day virtual event called "The Game Has Changed". It was an overview of the ways in which the self-education industry and technology has changed the landscape of our lives. They also talked about what is being forecasted for the years ahead.

I'll be honest, as much as I respect and soak up the experience and knowledge of these titans in the coaching and self development space... I also limit my exposure to them. Their style just isn't resonant with my own.

That said, between the amazing speakers they hosted as well as their own powerful talks, I came away feeling inspired.

It's true that our world and the ways we live our lives are changing at a faster pace than ever before in history. It's just facts. We can lament it. We can rant and rail against it. Or we can embrace it and look for the ways to make these changes work for us.

The game has truly changed in so many respects. But have you changed too? This week in our house we'll be celebrating Father's day, Juneteenth, and Summer solstice with a full moon. That's a LOT.

I could let it overwhelm me, or I could embrace these as chances to embrace the changes another year has made. Celebrate those who've shared it with me. And recommit to the changes I'm making in the seasons ahead with the freedom I have to express it fully.

All the things we dream of for our future can only be grasped by the choices we make in the now. Beware sitting in the dreaming state for too long. It will stagnate growth and keep you frozen in place. It takes action as a result of both what we’ve learned from the past and what we desire for the future. Yet all of it, is done in the here and now.

Become the master of the present moment. Do not settle for less. Do not shy away from challenges. Be generous with yourself and others to feel the depth of gratitude that is available to you. Ground yourself in what you have accomplished so that you can move steadily toward what you know is meant for your future.

Honoring the Solstice

Here in the PNW, summer is starting (sort of) on Friday June 21st with the solstice. This is one of those magical times of year where we really feel how broad our world is. While I'll be welcoming the longest day, those of you on the opposite side of the Earth will be welcoming winter's longest night.

There are some solstice celebrations which honor every turn of the wheel though. I felt called to share some of the common traditions and I'd love to hear what you do!

• Decorate with seasonal natural elements
• Invite the light with a flame from candles to bonfires
• Exercise intuition
• Give time to gratitude and reflect on the season's blessings
• Create a feast of seasonal flavors and share it

This last one is something I'm hoping to make time for by including strawberries our family picked at a local farm this weekend into these skinny lemon scones!
