Happy Monday ,

I can't believe it's time for us to start up school again today!!

I've already been spending some time organizing materials and talking with teachers and trying to wrap my brain around schedules but...

Nope I just can't get my brain wrapped around the fact that we're starting 1st and 2nd grade today.

Maybe because I'm also doing about 15 other things at the same time and the kids are about as excited for this prospect as you'd expect. Still, with everything going on, I'm going to take a moment and just recognize the milestones we're all experiencing today.

Which leads me to this week's card...

Balance your perspective 

It is easy to be fixated on past mistakes or highlights. However this focus skews how we see the present place in which we stand. This sets us up for losing our way and losing sight of where we're heading.

Trust that this is where you're meant to be here and now. Learn to adapt to what surrounds you at this time and know that in so doing, you'll find the way of hardship. Not by ignoring what came before but by balancing it with a present moment perspective.

Just in case you hadn't heard... There's a Super Full Blue Moon Happening!!

Most people know that a blue moon just means we have two full moons in one month. This happens more often than the old adage would suggest. However, a super moon is a term for when the moon is closest to the Earth in it's orbit.

This particular super moon is interesting because it is also a blue moon and the second super moon in a row! Experts suggest this isn't likely to occur for another 14 years.

So what does all that mean? Well first of all, the moon is going to appear brighter when it hits its peak on Wednesday August 30th.

From a metaphysical standpoint, this moon is going to amplify the typical impacts of a full moon too. A time when intuition is enhanced and all senses are heightened. (Yes this will impact emotional states which Mercury retrograde already have running high).

This is also a time when things may seem indistinct and unclear, despite all that extra moonlight. As with all full moons, let this be a time when you release and let go. Do not feel the need to control everything. Allow yourself to dream and embrace the unknown.

Rather than feeling frustration or stagnation, let this time help you dream bigger and accept that you don't have to know how it will come to you. You don't have to clearly see the path to take the next step.
