Counting It Down...
Dec 14, 2023 5:01 pm
Hi there ,
Much like my kids are counting down the days till presents and I'm counting down the school days till winter break... we're counting it down to the close of 2023!
While many are focusing on what is coming in the new year right now, as I've said already, I'm going to keep the present moment first and foremost. There's so much to celebrate, savor, and share right now! I want to do that justice and invite you to do the same with me.
So let's get on to how I'm going to give back to you right now in these final days of the month and the year!!
------------
Want To Play?
I'm inviting you, as well as myself, to have some fun!! This time of year, I find myself wanting to capture every moment of that magical wonderment I remember from my youth and try to build with my children.
The magic of the lights, the excitement of the gifts, the urge to try each and every flavor as feasts abound!
So, I'm going to lean into that feeling in my Facebook community group. Starting this weekend, it's going to be all fun and games! That's right, we'll be playing a mix of silly, fun, and just crazy games for the rest of the year.
AND... there'll be prizes! I've got a treasure trunk full of goodies to gift some of my people who help me have some fun over the next couple weeks.
So how about it? Will you be getting into the games with us? Sign up here!

Celebrating the Solstice
Yule begins Thursday December 21st with the winter solstice, or the longest night of the year. At least for the northern hemisphere.
In some traditions, Yule is celebrated from the 21st through the 1st and it is a celebration of the start of winter. A time of rest for the sun and the lights which keep us company until the sun's rebirth.
There are numerous ways to honor this time and many of them will sound very familiar.
- Light candles (or other lights)
- Decorate a Yule tree
- Create a wreath of evergreens
- Host a seasonal feast with friends and family
- Bake a Yule log cake
- Exchange gifts
- Practice gratitude
- Spend time in reflection of the year coming to a close
Our family will be attending a local solstice walk which consists of hundreds of lanterns along a path which follows the Snohomish river! I'll also be attempting my first Yule log cake!
Which of these are your favorites? Which would you add to the list?

Winter Break
And speaking of celebrating... I'm officially throwing myself into my own!
That's right, starting on Thursday December 21st, I'm going to be on my personal holiday break until the new year.
I will mostly unplugged to focus on family and the festivities, with very few exceptions. So now's the time to get on my calendar for any end of year or start of 2024 consultations!
I'll check in periodically to reply to messages and post a few things here and there, but after the 21st I'll be quiet until January hits.
To Your Dreams,
~Elizabeth Watson
