MUSIC

KERRY JO BELL

Words move your lips

This soliloquy gently

swaying my hips

With its honesty

And splendour of innocence

Your word-ful beat

Cause me to move my feet

And my world will never be the same

The gracious way your lips

echo my name …

Your soulful words

Fill my soul with enchantment

My heart is finally content

Cause you meant every word

My ears do a summersault as you tell me a story about your youth

When your father thought you uncouth

Cause now he relishes in your glory

I am but a woman

Standing in the entrance of your world In a trance ready to dance

To your bliss full rhythmic words

I’ve never heard anyone speak their truth

Quite like you

And in a world of liars

I want to be in yours for all my years

Cause your candidness is music to me

About the Author

Kerry Jo Bell loves escaping into re-imagined worlds of her own creation as an outlet to express her deepest thoughts and feelings. While she is shy and awkward in person, she has always been brave and unbridled on the pages. It wasn’t until five years ago however, that she began to write ‘professionally’. Since then, her work has appeared in multiple literary journals and magazines.
