I AM FIBRE, BONE AND SHADOW
DiIIy Dally
I am fibre, bone and shadow
But you see me
I am an electrical impulse
Heard and earthed
In the early hours
You write to me, pour your heart out
So that I will wake to beauty
Delicately you weave for me
A nest of words and comfort
Virtual hand holding
Letters of love
So that I may know your truth
I run my fingers over the page
And today I don't disappear
••
P.S. I am Fibres, Bone and Shadow was inspired by the difference reaching out to a friend makes during moments of disconnect.
