๐ฉ Happy New Year, Friends!
I'll skip the bullshit and wish you Health, Donuts, and Bitcoin (joking, a bank account full of cash is fine ๐).
First, apparently, my last week's email went straight to the spam folder for many of my readers. If you re one of them, I will appreciate it if you take the following steps:
1) Mark the email as "It's not spam;"
2) Move it to your inbox;
3) Hit reply and say Hi. Why don't you introduce yourself and let me know if I can return the favor by answering SEO/Marketing questions?
4) Optional: add my email [email protected] to your contact list.
Here is an archive page for all new members for the past emails and stories I've shared. I hope you enjoy them.
๐ปCase Study: Building a Profitable Niche Website: December Update
I'm ready with the December update for the website I report stats. Here is a link to the case study.
- In terms of growth: it is doing great.
- In terms of revenue: it was a bad month.
Read the update to see what happened.
I have drafted a rough plan for the growth of my niche websites in 2021. I'll leave that plan for next week's update.
๐From 0 to 20 in 2 months
This is milachervenkova.rocks Domain Rating (Ahrefs). In two months, it went from 0 to 20.
As a comparison, some of the niche websites I own for years have a DR of 20.
What I am trying to illustrate is the importance of acquiring a link from a strong domain. One link from a domain with a DR of 85 could add up more than 10-20 links from websites with 30 DR.
As I have already shared, in December, I acquired a link back from Business.com, and apparently, it paid off. Choose your battles wisely. Prioritize those tasks with the highest possible output.
๐ Interesting Stuff I've Read
- How To Optimize An Affiliate Site: This is a super interesting case study (ongoing) by Matt Diggity, who recently bought niche websites. He is documenting all the steps you need to take to optimize an affiliate website and take it to the next level. In fact, this post illustrates pretty well how I built and optimize my websites.
- Insights from Morning Brew's newsletter business: Perhaps, I am the only person on the Internat who doesn't enjoy Morning Brew's newsletter. But I don't mind taking notes on their success. Austin Rief, one of the co-founders, wrote this insightful Tweetstorm about their rapid growth.
Talk to you next week. Hopefully, I can share more details about the upcoming sale of my two niche websites.
p.s don't forget to hit reply and say Hi ๐
Own your future, Friends!

๐ If you're enjoying my Donuts about Marketing newsletter, I'd love it if you shared it with a friend (or three). You can send them this link.
I'm always open to feedback and suggestions.
