When Positivity Is Not Enough - Other Options
As you can probably guess, I'm a big believer in practices that nurture positivity. I believe everyone can benefit from finding ways to bring more peace, enthusiasm, optimism, and patience to their lives.
But through the years, I've realized that for some people, these practices are not enough. Whether it's past trauma or genetics, some people have a very difficult time with negative self-talk, self-worth, worry, and fixating on the negative. They might struggle with panic, anxiety, depression, etc., which impacts the quality of their lives.
So I wanted this weekly tip to offer a few ideas when positivity is just not enough for you or someone you know. I am not endorsing or recommending any of them; I am just providing ideas for you to explore to see what might resonate.
Therapists/practitioners/psychiatrists that use a variety of approaches such as -

My wish is that people continue to try new things until they find a path that works for them. Our mental and emotional health is critically important and defines the quality of our lives. We need to prioritize it so that everything else can get easier, especially when positivity is not enough.
