Questions to Ask Yourself for the New Year - Reflect & Plan

I find the New Year is a great time to pause, reflect, dream, and plan. But sometimes, it can be hard to get started. So here are a variety of questions to choose from to make it easier.

You can do this by yourself, sit down with a friend, or do it together as a family. Each person can select as few or as many questions as they like.

2023 Reflections:

  1. What are some of your favorite memories? They could be vacations, fun times, simple moments, major achievements, etc.
  2. What was the biggest obstacle you overcame?
  3. What are you most proud of?
  4. What brought you the most joy or satisfaction?
  5. What did you learn about yourself?
  6. How did you push yourself out of your comfort zone?
  7. What new things did you try?
  8. What did you get better at?
  9. What would you do differently?
  10. What are you most grateful for?
  11. What was hard about this past year?

2024 Goals/Plans:

  1. Pick an important goal/dream you have for your future. What are 3 actions you can take to move you toward that goal/dream?
  2. What brings you the most joy, and how could you do more of that?
  3. What would you try if you knew you couldn't fail?
  4. Who would you like to spend more time with?
  5. What could you do to improve your physical health?
  6. What could you do to improve your mental/emotional health?
  7. What would you like to learn more about?
  8. What project(s) do you want to tackle in 2024?
  9. What hobbies do you want to spend more time doing?
  10. What aspect of yourself do you want to improve? (patience, organization, assertiveness, etc.)
  11. What habit do you want to start or stop?

Wishing you much peace, joy, and good health in 2024!!
