Browsing Old Photos - Remembering how good your life is

Our lives are often busy focusing on the tasks of the present moment or planning for the future. Often, we're too busy to even think about how good our life is. But looking back at old photos or videos, remembering past moments and adventures can remind us of so many good things in our lives.

This photo is of my daughter 19 years ago!! When I look at her adorable, sweet sleeping face, I start remembering other moments of her from long ago. She loved to sit in my lap as I read her books. She loved to pretend-wrestle with me on the floor. She loved to dance and play air guitar to REO Speedwagon. She loved to have us sing to her before going to sleep. She loved to play with all of her rubber duckies in the tub during her bath.

So many of those memories make me smile and warm my heart. And my heart swells with pride and gratitude for the young adult she is becoming. The two of us recently returned from a trip to northern California, where we enjoyed some white water kayaking, hiking in the mountains, and amazing water falls. This photo reminds me of these more recent memories that bring me joy.

How often do you take the time to look back through old photos or videos? When you do, have you noticed how it can bring back such fun memories? Do it now! Browse the photos on your phone or grab that old photo album. It's even more fun if you have someone you can reminisce with. Notice how it makes you feel.
