We are writing to introduce The New Art School, an independent educational initiative dedicated to rethinking art and design education for the twenty-first century.

The New Art School is built on a clear and urgent premise: creative education must move beyond passive instruction and industrial models of training, and instead cultivate independent thinkers, responsible citizens, and culturally literate designers. We believe that making and thinking are inseparable, and that design education must reconnect with intellectual depth, historical awareness, and social responsibility.

Our programs explore design not merely as a commercial skill, but as a cultural and civic practice. Through lectures, workshops, publications, and public dialogue, we foster critical inquiry, experimentation, and ethical communication.

Alongside the school, we produce the Design Education Talks podcast, an international platform featuring conversations with leading educators, designers, and cultural thinkers. The podcast extends our mission by documenting diverse perspectives on creativity, pedagogy, leadership, and the future of design education. It has become a growing archive of thoughtful dialogue that connects institutions and practitioners across borders.
