Dumb action beats smart planning

"Should I wait until our next coaching call or pitch my prospect my new offer?"

Pitch it. Every. Single. Time.

Additional planning may slightly improve your outcome in that single presentation, but getting feedback from the market will tell you if you're right or wrong.

My client wanted more assurance that another coaching call might bring instead of getting a guaranteed response from his prospect.

Yes, I'm smart (not to mention ruggedly handsome) and have experienced his scenario hundreds of times, but I'm not omniscient.

The market is smarter than me every time. And it's smarter than your plan for it.

I'm not saying don't plan.

I'm saying plan just enough to get in front of your prospects and let them tell you if your plan meets their needs.

The first week of January 2026 is already gone. You've got 51 weeks left.

For the rest of the year, if you take one dumb action a week that gets you feedback from your prospects, you will build a successful company.

Your plan gets more refined the more times it comes in contact with your market.

Your actions get less dumb.

A year from now, you'll be a genius.

TL;DR: taking consistent action beats sitting around making the smartest plan.
