Yesterday we did the kickoff call for the $100k In 100 Days Challenge and it was all about belief.
Technically it was about crafting a $25k+ offer, but to be able to make one you’ve got to believe you can sell it and deliver it.
One of the members said his goal was $10,000 within 100 days. The thing that stuck out to me was he’s an expert. Like a real, legit expert and his belief system said he wouldn’t be able to charge more than market rates — even though the market has really big problems that need to be solved.
I’m not saying this to single him out. This kind of thinking is really common. (Watch this coaching call I did where an experienced expert was struggling to make the income she wanted.)
Over and over I run into smart people who set their sights too low. They feel they need to work extra hard to earn it especially when it’s a new endeavor.
But I want you to leap frog to your goal instead of slowly crawling.
There’s no law in the universe that says you can’t achieve bigger goals, faster.
I told the mastermind group that the only reason the challenge is 100 days is because I can’t fly out to everyone’s office, sit across their desk and force them to call prospects until they sell $100,000 worth of their service.
Your SPEED TO MONEY is determined by what you believe you’re allowed to make within a given time.
I’ve earned $100k in the first 4 to 8 weeks of the year for years — working part time (not including my investment income). I had the founder from one of my investments sell $100k in a week. I did sit across from him and told him to pick the phone back up as soon as he closed a sale to immediately go after the next one.
Pedro, my cohost of The Monetize, hears this from me every time he gets a client: “Time to find the next one.”
I say all this to hopefully get you to believe it’s possible for yourself. And if you don’t really believe, then know that I believe it’s possible for you. Maybe that will be enough to get you started.
