If you're looking for a book in addition to the book that came with your tarot book of choice, I would highly recommend Madame Pamita's Magical Tarot. Although it's a book focused on using tarot for manifesting and spells (making it amazing for experienced readers) It's also full of little bites of info to help you add more to your understanding of each card. 2. Ethics in Energy Medicine by Heidi Light. I met Heidi ages ago at a Witchy Metaphysical Show, and I'm so glad I did. This is a message that I will get on my soap box with any day, and I think it's a topic in both tarot and energy work that isn't addressed as often as it should be, and I recommend this book to EVERYONE who I teach or mentor. 3. The Seat of the Soul by Gary Zukav. As tarot readers, we are so often guidance councellors and this book helps guide the reader or energy worker to process and have boundaries for your clients emotions and stories. Although in some ways a little dated, and I spent a lot of time shifting the word "God" into "The Universe" the first time I read this in 2007, It's a book worth taking your time through. So much of this wisdom comes out in my readings. The only time I volunteer my services is for charities - I've volunteered with a childrens charity several times over the years, and with the Rotary a handful of times. You are providing a SERVICE, whether it's entertainment or the gift of healing, it is WORK for you to show up to events. Just like musicians, you should NOT be expected to "work for exposure." Abundance Journaling! I do this in the mornings while listening to meditations or music, and while sipping my tea. It sets the positive mindset habit and makes the day amazing! It also helps us to heal our physical self and create a happy reality. I had my cards out for an email reading I did this morning, so pulled a quick card to guide me through the day.
