drama is so fun from the outside (but don't get sucked in)

some people seem so interesting but...

Hey ,

Ever noticed how some people's social lives seem so interesting because there is always drama?

It's easy to compare yourself to them and feel like you're missing out. You're not.

Here’s how to effectively ground yourself in peace:

1: Remember that drama makes good television, not good life.

While a great tv show has wild characters making bad decisions, you'll find more long term comfort in surrounding yourself with people who make good decisions.

Let yourself to learn from mistakes them instead of wishing that you were making the same ones.

2: Choose your level of involvement.

If you're outside of the drama-dome, choose carefully if you want to get into it. Don't get attached to advice and you won't be disappointed if your friend disobeys it.

Let your pal know you're there for them when and if they need you.

3: Don't forget kindness and empathy

Talking shit is fun, but do it in moderation. Make it a habit of speaking to the humanity in people. If you build a habit of finding delight in tearing other people down, you'll be cutting yourself off from a delicious world on the other side.

Pro tip: Once you co-create a stable, drama-free relationship, you'll get it.

Until then, believe.

Class: Starting in June, I'm launching a two-month once-a-week communication skills class designed to help people co-create drama free relationships by equipping themselves with skills few people actually learn.

This includes learning tips and tricks that resulted in four plus years of relationships without any fighting, expressing love, trusting yourself, and developing confidence to navigate hard but necessary conversations. Reply to this email with the word 'class' if you'd like to learn more.
