The other day, I discussed two of the most significant objections I’ve encountered when presenting Goldbacks to people over the years.
Today, let’s delve into a security feature introduced in all Goldbacks minted in 2025 and beyond: Ultra Violet reactive ink.
Goldbacks are already produced using highly sophisticated machines and cutting-edge technology, making them nearly impossible to replicate. This has prevented counterfeiting to date. The UV reactive ink feature serves as an additional layer of security, exponentially increasing the difficulty of counterfeiting Goldbacks.
Since 2025, Goldbacks are either stamped or dotted with UV reactive ink during the production process. This “ink” is uniquely patterned on each Goldback note, making it easy to compare and verify authenticity. While the UV reactive ink is invisible to the naked eye, it can be detected using a UV light pen. Goldbacks has its own branded "pen," but other UV light pens will also work.
