Today, my plans for The Goldbackers took an unexpected turn. While I was preparing to write about certain aspects of Goldbacks, I believe it’s more prudent to address the Gold price. Overnight Gold has experienced a significant decline, and consequently, the price of Goldbacks will also decrease considerably.
Is this a bad thing? It depends on your perspective.
For those new to Goldbacks and The Goldbackers, this is excellent news! Goldbacks are becoming more affordable and easier to own due to the lower prices.
If you’re like me and purchased a substantial amount of GBs around $3-$4 each, and haven’t bought any since the price surged, this news is also positive for you. It gives you an opportunity to buy more GBs, which I certainly want to do.
On the other hand, if you recently bought GBs at $10 per 1GB, you may not be thrilled about this downturn. Understandably so. However, this decline allows you to average down the cost if you decide to purchase more GBs in the future.

Nothing Only Goes Up & They Are Still Printing!
While Gold doesn’t always rise straight up, the primary reasons for owning Gold and Goldbacks, so you can use them for daily transactions, remain unchanged. Our leaders continue to spend more than they collect in taxes, and they are constantly printing new money. This trend is likely to persist, especially with the ongoing wars.
