Here's some interesting news from McDonald's headquarters.

McDonald's is opening a new chain called CosMc's to challenge Starbucks and Dunkin' in the $100 billion "afternoon beverage pick-me-up occasion" market.

The new food-service chain will offer customizable drinks and McDonald's favorites, such as the Egg McMuffin, churro frappe, s'mores cold brew, tumeric-spiced latte, sour cherry energy burst, blackberry mint green tea, popping pear slush, and more. Sweets will also be offered.

The first location will be located in Bolingbrook, Illinois, with about 10 additional locations set to open in Texas in 2024.

McDonald's plans to open 10,000 of these new stores worldwide by 2027.

As to CosMc's franchises being available, experience tells me that current McDonald's franchisees will probably be offered first dibs.
