Late-Breaking Ketchup News...

Packets of ketchup...those little foil packets you get with food to-go, are in super-short supply. I'm serious.

From Today.com:

"Ketchup has always been a staple condiment for Americans, but since the pandemic forced many restaurants to ramp up their takeout game, the demand for those handy individual packets quickly skyrocketed. And the rules of supply and demand have led to a 13% increase in ketchup packet prices since 2020, according to WSJ."

Think about it.

The pandemic has created a massive number of take-out and delivery customers...and a lot of them get those ketchup packets. Makes sense that there's a shortage-and with it, higher prices. So now what?

I suggest you start stashing ketchup packets whenever possible.

It's Spring in the United States!

That means we can go outside. Freedom!

It also means that if we stay focused on doing the right things now (masks, getting vaccinated), our lives can get back to almost normal!

Prediction:

More and more franchise businesses will start requiring employees to get vaccinated.

In addition, franchisors will start giving special perks to customers who can prove they've been vaccinated.
