But if you don't know what Discovery Day is yet, read this post.

To be sure, Discovery Day is important. It's a big part of the franchise selection process. However...and this leads to this week's Franchise Tip:

Do not attend a Discovery Day until you know enough about the franchise business you're investigation! Why?

Because it would be a waste of time. You don't know enough.

Furthermore, if you're invited to attend one before you know a lot about the opportunity, it's a sales ploy, plain and simple.

The franchise company is taking advantage of your excitement about the prospect of being your own boss-and they want you in front of them when you're the most interested..

And by the way, not going is a great way to take charge of the franchise sales process.

Finally, in case you didn't know, buying a franchise is a big deal. There's a lot of things you don't know.
