In This Course You Will Learn
- How to create emotional safety by using needs rather than blame and judgment
- How to help others experience being heard and experience being heard yourself through empathy for others rather than other conversational responses
- How to create connection from conflict, instead of disconnection by using silent empathy and the NVC dance floor
- How to get clarity in your communication through using observations and feelings rather than evaluations and thoughts
- How to get your needs met through requests rather than demands
- How to find calm and compassion when you’re triggered by using WAIT and self-empathy
Each week you'll have about an hour of self-paced pre-class materials and videos to go through and then you'll come together with the rest of your cohort for a live class with Jordan, one of our facilitators, to review and practice what you've learned from that week.

Episode 103 is an extension of last week's show on Demands. This week Dr. B and Heather go a bit more in-depth about what to do when you notice you have demand energy and want to shift it to a request. It's not an easy thing, but it is possible. The co-hosts chat about the WAIT portion of the NVC Dance Floor and how WAIT time is not merely a cool-down time but an active time where one can employ several processes to shift from having to have something a particular way and having a greater ability to ask for what you want without creating disconnection in the relationship. Lots to learn this week.
