May was a busy month for us! We'll get the big news out of the way first:

Overpowered V3 is Out in Early Access!

So what is Overpowered?

Over the past year Hannah Strang and I (David Schirduan) have been working on a digital game compatible with your favorite RPG adventures. We wanted to make a solo game that didn't have any journaling or roleplaying. The result is Overpowered!

This game is in early access. The PDF will be improved upon and expanded over the next few months. Later this year we will fund a print run. Join the discord to share advice and exchange tips!

Version 3.0 Patch Notes

Project Changes:

• Released into Early Access ($10 PDF)
• Bookmark & Demo adventure are free to download
• Brand new marketing pitch & game focus
• Created forums for feedback/discussion on itch.io & Discord

PDF Changes

• Removed all roleplaying from the book
• More charming Gemini artwork added
• Lots of new diagrams and streamlined explanations
• Made the tutorial adventure a lot easier
• Moved Reference to pack end papers
• Added (some) roleplaying back to the book
• Added Duet rules for two players

Web App Changes

• Added Bot Rename button
• Adventure Log has more detail
• Rounded the top corners, sharpened the bottom corners
• Allow players to submit Adventure Keys with their high score
• Download Adventure Keys & Adventure Logs from the Leaderboard
• Added button to copy the whole adventure log to clipboard
• Fixed a bug where your bot image kept changing

As you can see, it really is like a brand new game. I hope to see your high scores posted to the Online Scoreboard!

What Else?

Although most of our energy went towards Overpowered, we also finished up the Tomb of a Thousand Doors Online Generator!

What Next?

We have some big plans for Overpowered! Things like:

• More Adventure Keys, so you can jump right into an adventure and compete with your friends.
• Cheat Codes! Special modifiers and custom characters for unique playthroughs.
• Adventures written just for Overpowered. There's a ton of neat potential there.
• And more!? What do you want to see? Let us know!

We are also slated to create some online tools for the Gardens of Ynn print from Soul Muppet! Look forward to that.

Other than that, we hope to write a few blog posts, and start paving the way for the rest of the year! 2024 is off to a great start.
