This Phrase Is Not Allowed In My Head

What's up .

There is one phrase that is not allowed in or between my ears. If I hear it, I correct the source. Can you guess what it is?

"I can't afford it."

Each human has a different lens that they see the world through. When it comes to wealth, we can have a lens of abundance or a lens of scarcity. "I can't afford it" is a dead giveaway that someone is wearing the scarcity lens.

When we ourselves say "I can't afford it", we instantly put on the scarcity lens. We tell ourselves "There isn't enough for me to be able to have it all. I have no control over what and how much freedom and wealth I have. It takes money to make money and I wasn't born into it. I am going to stay on this path till I die, complain about all the things I don't have, and do nothing about it."

With this scarcity lens we give up and turn our brains off. Even as we get promoted, receive inheritance, win the lotto, increase our income, and upgrade our lifestyle, we never have enough and are always poor. You see, it's the mindset, not the money.

The abundance lens is represented by the phrase "How can I afford it?". You see the subtle shift? Now we tell ourselves that "I can have and accomplish anything if I chose to. I have the power within me to act on my life and this world to create what I want for me and my family. I can figure out how to draw things up the way I want them and then work to make it so."

With the abundance lens, we work hard and turn our brains on to the possibilities. Even as we get sued for millions, lose a business, lose a job, and have our entire industry shut down due to a pandemic, we always have enough and are rich. There may be times that we are broke, but we are rich.

Obviously, there are lots of things you and I don't have the cash to purchase today. But until we truly believe that our choices made it so, then there is not much anyone can do to help us. Think of what you want, ask yourself "how???", turn your brain on, and go make it happen.

If you're serious about making it happen, text me to bounce around ideas, share educational resources, and to network.

Go get it this week,

Tanner
