Taking life into your own hands.

Hi !
Happy Sunday, and Happy Deepavali to anyone here who celebrates it. I hope you are all staying safe and healthy during this extended CMCO.
Last weekend, I attended BuildBeings' Virtual Summit 2020. This was partly because one of my 2020 resolutions is to attend at least one personal development event to improve myself. It was also because I was feeling demotivated recently due to the CMCO 2.0, and needed a push to get me back on my feet.
So I thought that I can share three things that I learnt from the summit that may be useful for you guys as well.
#1 Life is the C between B and D.
The Choices that you make between your Birth and Death define who you are. What you choose to do with your life and the time that you have is important. Think about what is important to you, what you want to achieve in this life, and what you can do now to get to where you want to be.
#2 Results is the biggest motivation for you to take actions.
This is why people say that when you set a goal in your life (whatever it may be), make sure it is something tangible that you can measure. Measurable outcomes help you to stay on track with your goals, and allow you to track how well you are doing with your progress.
This is speaking from experience, but I find myself more motivated in doing something once I can see some tangible results from my actions. For instance, this newsletter and my blog both started off as a personal project, purely just for fun. But, the more it grew and the more people I get to connect and inspire with my writing, the more motivated I become to write and produce better content.
You guys are some of my biggest motivations in what I do, and I thank you for that :)
#3 Everyone is a story teller.
We all have a unique story and perspective on life. We all go through different things and experience life differently. Because of this, we all have a story to tell, and it is our right share that story with the world. However you chose to do it - either via blog posts, Twitter threads, public speaking, or others, don't be afraid to let your voice out.
Be proud of your voice and your story, and own it.

So, what about you?
What is one thing that you want to achieve in your life, and what is one thing/action that you can take today to help you get closer to your goal?
Share it with me, I'd love to hear from you! :)
Until I see you again in two weeks - take care and stay awesome!
Love,
Nazu xx
