Instagram LogoLast year we lost a combined 130 pounds. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I lost 50, and my husband lost 80. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Weight is such an individual thing. Weight is just a number, and no matter what your number, you are amazing and beautiful and worthy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I feel like I'm just at the beginning of my health journey, which happens to come with a lower number. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Last year, I set a health goal. I had never set a health/weight related goal before. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My clothes were starting to get a little tight and I found myself not liking the way I was looking in pictures. I would look and think it didn't 'look like me.' ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Did my husband set a health related goal? Nope! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But, enter ? and only eating what your wife cooks and some anxiety (<- you never know what is going on with someone bts), and a million other small things, and he started losing weight. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'm not going to lie, there are times it's hard when your partner is losing weight seemingly easily without doing (literally) anything and you're trying. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Of course there were tears on my part, but when you are on the same page with your partner, it's easier than going it alone. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My husbands whole body shape has changed. You can completely tell just by looking at him. I am so proud of him!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I thought you couldn't tell a difference with me. Maybe it's because I literally bought the same style/color/brand of pants...just 4 sizes smaller lol. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I have always disliked before/after photos. I don't want to look back at old photos when I happened to be a different size and associate those memories with negative thoughts. But on the same note, these photos show transformation. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ To say it’s slow ? is an understatement, but I feel like we're just getting started. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you want to read more ??
