...knowing good things are coming?

Like...spring? And also, a new book in a series many of you have loved?

Hello, Friend!

I can't believe it's almost February. I've started writing again, so it's been busy, along with the day jobs. But I'm loving it, and hope, so much, that the new books will give you the warmth and happiness you want from your treasured reading time.

I've missed the men of Refuge Bay, and have a new book to share with you, soon.

Meanwhile, here's a moment from this latest book, Seth Unravelled. Featuring Eric Tilson (rich, owns a gorgeous vineyard, but very serious and lonely) and Seth (grumpy, moody, tons of baggage. Not rich.)

It's a typical Refuge Bay, Hope House moment. With our beloved Nathan, from book one - Nathan Unwrapped - making sure Seth is protected. Having a talk with one of Eric's servants, at the Tilson Estate.

Because the men of Hope House - are protectors.

Here's the excerpt:

"Once again Nathan thanked the gods, the universe, or whomever or whatever had arranged that their paths cross, over a year ago. Thanked them that Og--a bulldozer of a man--had opened up to him, eventually. That they’d found a match between them…no, created one. So many times it had seemed as if they were never meant to be, though the attraction and the need for each other had grown.

Now, he’s taking care of our little girl, carrying the load, all himself.

Which is perfect. Because I need to make a call. A private call, first.

He stood over by the outside door, in the middle of the boots and overcoats that always seemed to tangle with each other, and dialed the number for the Tilson estate.

“Martin. Thank God I caught you.” He paused. “Yes, yes, he did. But he’s on his way back, right now.” He nodded some more. “Yes. Have no doubt about that. He’ll stay to do the job.”

He fielded some more interesting comments from Martin Connelly, and wasn’t surprised. The man adored his boss, and would do anything for him. But then he added the point of his call. It was important, and needed to be said. Known.

He was clear.

“Be good to him, will you? All of you? He’s one of ours now. Please tell Eric that, too. Be kind to Seth. He’s carrying something. Something he hasn't shared with any of us, yet. But it's big. Something…too damn big.”

He nodded a bit more, then said his goodbyes. The call had been invaluable.

Seth Brogan, whatever he was hiding, needed all the TLC—in a definitely clandestine way—that he could handle.

And Nathan was going to make sure he got it."

I hope that warms your heart. We all need protectors in our lives.

And if by chance, you'd like to hit reply and just say a quick, simple hi, or just wave to me — I’d love that.

Wishing you happiness, hope and ease, this 'just before spring' season.
