Dear friends,
We'll be "at home to visitors" from 6:30 to 10 p.m. on Friday July 25, celebrating my birthday and joined by special guest Peg! If you want to let us know you're coming, please do, or just show up!
Arrive at 6:30 for candle-lighting and dinner (advance notice appreciated so we can be sure we have food that you can eat), or after 7 to just hang out. Kids of all ages are very welcome before 8:30, when Kit goes to bed. Quiet adult chill time continues until 10 or whenever we turf you out.
If you can't make it on the 20th, maybe you can join us on one or more of these upcoming dates:

September 19
October 10
November 7
December 5
December 19 (Hanukkah party!)

We do have an air conditioner in the living/dining room, but it can struggle on the hottest days, which Friday looks likely to be. We'll probably make quiche, potato salad, and other cold things. We always have limeade and seltzer on hand, or bring the cold drink of your choice. We'll make it work!

The boring details:
- Our apartment is up a steep flight of stairs, and has a cat in residence.
- Ash has scent allergies, so please don't wear strong perfume or cologne.
- We're more than happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions we can, but cross-contamination of allergens may happen in our kitchen. We never mind you bringing your own food if that's what's safest for you.
- If you'd like to bring someone who hasn't been directly invited, please check in advance.
- We generally welcome Shabbat just before dinner with quick blessings over candles, grape juice, and challah. You're welcome to join us or sit it out, whatever's most comfortable for you. We're happy to explain how it goes and/or say the blessings in English if that helps you feel included.
- Please take a rapid test no more than 12 hours before coming over. At least one member of our family will do likewise. We'll also have a high-quality air purifier running, and windows open if weather permits. If you'd prefer more stringent covid precautions, please let us know.
