Dear friends,
My birthday is a month away! I'm turning 48, which is an excellent number, and I hope you'll come celebrate with me:
Sunday June 14, 1–6 p.m.
Lincoln Terrace Park, Brooklyn NY (rain location: our house, a block away)
(My actual birthday is June 19, but we're celebrating on the 14th to keep from running into Father's Day, the Mermaid Parade, etc.)
Your partners and children are very welcome. The park has tables and seats for adults and playgrounds for the kids. There are great sprinklers at the playground, so bring swim clothes and towels if getting wet sounds like fun! No other dress code; just be generous with your preferred form of sun protection, as the picnic tables aren't shaded.
We'll have snacks and drinks, gluten-free dairy-free cake or cupcakes, and homemade dairy and DF ice cream; you're welcome to BYO anything you want to eat or drink. Good conversation is guaranteed as always.
No physical gifts, please — our house overfloweth — but if you want to send me a digital something, even just a link to something you saw that you think would make me happy, I would love that. I would also cherish donations in my honor to any of:

There are no structured activities, so drop by anytime between 1 and 6. If you plan to attend, please reply and let us know. We really hope you can join us!

The boring details:
- The picnic areas of the park are fully wheelchair-accessible. Please note that the elevators at the Utica Ave 3/4 subway station are currently out of service, so if stairs are no-go for you, you'll need to take a cab or a bus.
- Our apartment is up a steep flight of stairs, and has a cat in residence.
- One member of the household has scent allergies, so please don't wear strong perfume or cologne.
- We're more than happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions we can, but cross-contamination of allergens may happen in our kitchen. We never mind you bringing your own food if that's what's safest for you.
- If you'd like to bring someone who hasn't been directly invited, please check in advance.
- Even though we'll be outdoors, please take a rapid test no more than 12 hours before the party. At least one member of our family will do likewise. If we're indoors, we'll also have a high-quality air purifier running, and windows open if weather permits. If you'd prefer more stringent covid precautions, please let us know.
Address: Lincoln Terrace Park, Brooklyn NY 11213. There are a few different picnic areas, but I plan to be at the one in the little-kids playground so the friends with small children can easily supervise them. Call or text me at 646-287-2437 if you get lost.
See you soon!
Cheers,
Ash on behalf of Chris, Josh, Kit, and Alex-the-cat
