Friday open house at Subtle House, July 3

Cool as a cucumber

Dear friends,

Summer break is here! Kit's on vacation, I'm on vacation, and Emmy is visiting! She requested that I add a dinner to the calendar for while she's here, so please do join us on Friday to make her dinner party dreams come true.

In an exciting development for anyone who's ever been in our house this summer, Josh got a "whole-room" fan the size of a small boulder that's doing wonders for circulating the air in our main room. Now that there isn't a mass of hot air sitting right under our rafters, it's genuinely pleasant in here even when it's beastly outside. Friday's high of 97F with isolated thunderstorms sounds like great weather to be indoors from; come stay cool with us.

If you can't make it this time, maybe you can join us on one or more of these upcoming dates:

July 31

August 28

October 30 (Halloween party!)

December 4 (Hanukkah party!)

Sunday daytime December 27 (Kit's birthday party, with special guest Emmy!)

Mark your calendars now, and join us when you can. We would really love to see you.

The gist:

We'll be "at home to visitors" from 6:30 to 10 p.m. on Friday July 3. If you want to let us know you're coming, please do, or just show up!

Arrive at 6:30 for candle-lighting and dinner (advance notice appreciated so we can be sure we have food that you can eat), or after 7 to just hang out. Kids of all ages are very welcome before 8:30, when Kit goes to bed. Quiet adult chill time continues until 10 or whenever we turf you out.

The boring details:

Address: 1669 President St #2, Brooklyn NY 11213. Call or text me at 646-287-2437 if you get lost.

See you soon!

Cheers,

Ash on behalf of Chris, Josh, Kit, and Alex-the-cat
