Dear friends,
We'll be "at home to visitors" from 12 noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday August 24, with special guest Paige-Erin! If you want to let us know you're coming, please do, or just show up!
Arrive at 12 for brunch (advance notice appreciated so we can be sure we have food that you can eat), or after 1 to just hang out. Kids of all ages are very welcome; Kit will be out of the house after about 1:30.
If you can't make it on the 24th, maybe you can join us on one or more of these upcoming dates:
September 19
October 10
November 7
December 5
December 19 (Hanukkah party!)
~~~
I realize that noon is lunchtime for most people, but I tend to think of it as breakfast time, so we compromise with brunch. I'm also recovering (very well) from surgery, and breakfast things are easy to make even when one feels a bit feeble. If we're up for cooking, expect eggs, sausage, hash browns, sauteed spinach, and other diner classics. If not, we'll order in something more lunch-like.
The boring details:
- Our apartment is up a steep flight of stairs, and has a cat in residence.
- Ash has scent allergies, so please don't wear strong perfume or cologne.
- We're more than happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions we can, but cross-contamination of allergens may happen in our kitchen. We never mind you bringing your own food if that's what's safest for you.
- If you'd like to bring someone who hasn't been directly invited, please check in advance.
- Please take a rapid test no more than 12 hours before coming over. At least one member of our family will do likewise. We'll also have a high-quality air purifier running, and windows open if weather permits. If you'd prefer more stringent covid precautions, please let us know.
Address: 1669 President St #2, Brooklyn NY 11213. Call or text me at 646-287-2437 if you get lost.
See you soon!
Cheers,
Ash on behalf of Chris, Josh, Kit, and Alex-the-cat
