Good Morning! Some really great cars in very interesting colors crossed the online block yesterday making us wish we had all the money in the world to fill our garage with all the Porsches. Two of those cars are featured below in Noteworthy Sales.

THE MARKET
Sell-Through Rate: 70%
Market Volume ($): $997,212

- I guess if you're just going to miss the $1m mark, $997k is a solid number to end on. The sell-through rate was average yesterday off of 20 cars. Kind of a ho-hum Thursday after a crazy Hump Day.

SPOTLIGHT
There was a time, not too long ago, when the floor for a delivery mileage 992 GT3 Touring was just shy of $300,000. Even for run-of-the-mill cars missing the most desirable options, big money was to be made flipping your car after the drive home from the dealership. I tell my kids stories about those days, and they shake their heads in disbelief.
Disbelief, because aside from one auction getting out of hand (there's a lot of booze at these live ones, just saying), you're not getting $300,000 in today's market without a Paint To Sample car. And it better be the right color. The last two Tourings with delivery mileage and wearing a non-PTS color sold in the $260s. And quite a few have gone unsold as sellers refuse to accept the reality of today's market.
Our Spotlight car, a 2022 911 GT3 Touring finished in Guards Red, is as fresh as they get with only 107 miles on the odometer. Fitted with over $50,000 in options, most notably PCCBs, Carbon Fiber roof, and $15,000 in Exclusive Manufaktur Leather Interior, it commanded an MSRP of $218,430 but was only bid to $247,500.
Unfortunately, our seller is still stuck in the past and is looking for $275,000. $25,000 more than what the market is willing to bear. Prices on 2022 GT3 Tourings are only heading in one direction. If you're looking for all the money, you've missed the boat on this one.
NOTEWORTHY SALES
- We honestly expected more for this one of 875 1988 911 Targa Commemorative Editions. Finished in a stunning combination of Diamond Blue Metallic Paint over Silver Blue Metallic Supple Leather, this Targa is a thing of beauty. Well bought considering we've seen higher mileage 3.2 Targas sell for around $100k.
- While your average 718 Boxster Spyder is no longer commanding over MSRP, this 2022 718 Boxster Spyder is far from average. Not only is it finished in PTS Slate Grey, but it's also a very rare 000 Package car with specific exterior and interior design elements curated by the magazine's co-founders in collaboration with Porsche Exclusive. If you're looking for a Spyder, this is the one to have.
- At least the seller of the 911 GT3 Touring in today's Spotlight can take solace in the fact that his other listing, this 356 Speedster Replica, sold for decent money at $50,900. The goal was to make room in the garage, not make a ton of money, right?
NEW LISTINGS
- You don't see these every day, especially with only 21,000 miles. Most 924 Turbos like this 1980 example were driven hard and put away wet, so the opportunity to buy one in this kind of condition doesn't come around often.
- Miss out on the 996 GT3 that ended yesterday? Well, you're in luck! This 2004 GT3 finished in Basalt Black Metallic over Black Full Leather is a fairly stock example with only 40,000 miles. And of course, it's a 6-speed. They didn't make them any other way back in '04. Proper.
- With a novel for a build sheet, this 1970 911T has an extensive list of modifications and quite the 2.5L rebuilt engine. Whoever takes home this little hot rod will surely have a deal as we can only imagine the cost to recreate such a car.
