Hello, knitters and crocheters!

Local Yarn Store Day (week for me!) is upon us. I wanted to give you a list of the store's offerings. Our appointment hours for this week are: Today till 5, Thursday till 5, Friday till 3, and Saturday till 5. There are plenty of openings at the moment, so hop on over to the calendar!

Appointments will end at 3:00 all of next week, and then I'll be back from Chicago and will resume my normal times. Kevin will be fiercely guarding our house, which is the reason I can tell you that I'll be away!

Back to Local Yarn Store Day: There are LOTS of project possibilities!! Hang on, and let's go see them!

Pacific Coast Tour Mystery Shawl

I have just a few extra kits for this project. You can find them on the website here. And you can find the pattern for this project here. This mystery is perfect for newer knitters, and super-relaxing for more experienced knitters. Please join us!

Trust Fall Shawl

This beautifully simple shawl from Jessica Ayes of Double the Stitches takes 750 yards of a DK-weight yarn. I recommend Silky Wool from Malabrigo (you'll need 5 skeins), or Harmonious DK from Virtuous Yarns (you'll need 4 skeins).

We have the free-pattern code for you when you buy the yarn.

Japanese Knot Bag--and a Chance to Win a Needle Set!

image

If you spend $50 or more on Noro products on April 27 or April 28, you'll be able to qualify for a chance to win a Lykke knitting needle set! For every 20 entries, Knitting Fever will give away one set! You need to email your receipt to socialmedia@knittingfever.com.

And just in time for this offer, I have a new pattern that will fulfill the purchase requirement! It's for a Japanese Knot bag (appropriate for the Japanese yarn). It's cool because the big handle fits into the little handle to quickly shut the bag at the top. It takes one skein of Noro Ito, and one skein of Noro Malvinas. The pattern isn't officially out yet, but if you buy the yarn, I'll give it to you as a handout.

This bag is super easy. I used it as travel/TV knitting. The colors kept it interesting the whole time.

Local Yarn Cowl

If you buy two contrasting skeins of fingering-weight yarn from us, we'll give you the coupon code to get the Casapinka pattern. You can buy the yarn any time from now till Saturday, but the Ravelry codes will begin on Friday, April 26 at 8am EST and will expire at 11pm EST Sunday night, April 28th.

Arrow Cowl

This cute cowl takes two skeins of Rios (one each of contrasting colors). Buy the Rios, and the pattern is yours! We have coupons for you here.

You know you never have enough Rios!

Byte and Pixel

Take your choice of knit or crochet!

These patterns were written for Berroco Vintage, but Ultra Alpaca would be a splendid substitute!

I have the printouts at the store as a handout with a yarn purchase.

Reflecting the Love

I've made my pattern that celebrates Local Yarn Stores free on Ravelry! Go grab a copy, just because you can.

Be sure to buy your yarn locally if you make this cowl.

And I think that's it. Thank you for supporting this local store for almost 21 years!
