Happy Monday! Here's the latest edition of SYAO Creativity. Let's see what's going on in our creative world this week!

STITCH (What I've been working on)

I've mainly been trying to get prepped for the retreat, which is already this Thursday! How did that happen? The store will be open, as always, but appointments will end at 3:00 each day. (I'll also end at 3:00 tomorrow, because I have an appointment to go to myself!)

I can't show you the Mix and Match mystery cowl that starts Saturday. But I still have kits if you'd like to pick one up!

In the meantime, here's a shawl that's almost finished. I came SO CLOSE to finishing it last night! Just a few more rows. I also need to fix a dropped stitch, in a needle-and-thread situation. The pattern should release in about a week.

Don't look good in orange/gold? There are so many other color combinations possible!

YOUR (What you've been working on)

My mother-in-law is such a creative quilter! She made the outer border look like water, with hand appliqué.

ART (Inspired by art or nature)

Pictures from the Florida trip. The wood stork is a dinosaur, I swear. And the Florida trip seems that long ago now!

OUT (What's out on the shelves in the shop)

My second week of Local Yarn Store Day continues! So far, quite a few people have put their names in for the $50 gift certificate to the store. You can enter by coming in, and you don't have to be a yarnie to enter! I appreciate the support from anyone who loves any kind of fiber!

I am out of the "Stormy Seas" color of the Mix and Match Cowl kit, but I'll have more later in the week. Again, you can look at kit colors here. No charge for shipping on the website. I'll knock off the shipping cost if you come in the shop to purchase a kit. The mystery begins this Saturday!
