Hello, everyone!

Happy Monday! I hope you have a relaxing day today. I'll be closed for the holiday, but will be here the rest of the week starting tomorrow.

In the meantime, let's see what's going on in our creative world!

STITCH (What I've been working on)

This shawl was a bit of a group effort between my store helpers and me. I designed it over a year ago. It's now finished. It's called Resolution Keeper. The idea was to create three New Year's resolutions, and then any time you do them, you knit a row with the color you've assigned to that resolution.

It was a clever idea that, like most New Year's resolutions, fell apart immediately.

But the shawl is done now, and the world still goes on in a pleasant way. This summer, I'll get myself back to the gym and playing piano. They won't go anywhere, and I like doing those things anyway. No biggie.

Isn't the shawl pretty, though? I'm super happy with it!

YOUR (What you've been working on)

Lois came in with this beautiful quilt! She got the cheerful focal fabric in Hawaii, and then we matched up a perfect red to go with it.

ART (Inspired by art or nature)

When I was in Chicago a few weeks ago for the wholesale convention, there was a display of art quilts. This was strange for me, but surprisingly, my favorite had almost no color. It was super appealing graphically. The quilter is Susan Lapham, from Vienna, VA.

Now, Susan is also very, very good with color, as you can see on her webpage. Somehow I sensed that!

OUT (What's out on the shelves in the shop)
