I'll start today by talking about email. If you haven't gotten one in a while, but just got this one, here's why:

If I send email to those who don't open them, my email looks like it's sending spam. Because of that, my email service won't let me send them to you if you haven't opened one recently, no matter what I do.

So if you want to stay on the email list, but usually don't have time to read it, simply open it.

A few days ago, I had my email service take off restrictions so that for the next few emails, everyone will get them. But those restrictions will go back on automatically soon.

The bottom line is, if you want my emails to keep coming, be sure to open them each Monday, even if you don't want to read them. (If you prefer to unsubscribe, that's fine, too. I understand that life changes!)

If you've already been getting them each week, you're all set and don't need to do anything. Thanks, everyone!

Hello, everyone!

Here's the latest edition of SYAO Creativity. Let's see what's going on in our creative world this week!

STITCH (What I've been working on)

I'm prepping for this week's retreat, which starts Thursday (I have helpers at the store whenever I'm gone--but if they don't have appointments, they do leave early).

I'm also dealing with a change in schedule for the Great Lakes Road Trip mystery shawl. If you have the pattern, you know that we're unsure of when we're starting. But we will start as soon as we can. If you want a kit, I have 8 of them remaining. They're on the website here. If you miss out, come in, and we'll choose yarns that'll work well and look great!

I did get a little sewing in this past week! Here are the first four blocks from the block of the month! They'll have sashing in between them in the end, but they also look good this way!

Here's the whole quilt so far (again, keeping in mind that it'll have sashing, so this isn't quite the final look). I'm excited about it! That Australian print we're using is perfect for tying it together.

I love Tracy's bunny. Look at how adorable Australian fabrics are on it! This pattern is not available except online, so I can't get it for you, but you can buy it here.

ART (Inspired by art or nature)

Aardvarks make for fantastic quilt inspiration. I saw this one in Florida. I think you'll agree that it had stunning markings!

OUT (What's out on the shelves in the shop)

Cotton sock yarn, at your service! It's getting to be that time of year.
