It's hard to believe it's March already!

Ironically, I swear it's been colder and snowier the last couple weeks than most of the winter out here in Utah. At least where I'm at.

This past weekend, we took the kids sledding and my wife was kind enough to capture this gem of yours truly...

Anyway... on to the March updates...

First up today, we have a new Shadow Watch story

This is a brand new prequel "short" story (about 40 pages) about how Tori and Darien met. It's a story I've wanted to write for a long time, and finally made it happen for the Shadow Watch Deluxe Edition. It will be in print in the new edition, but you all can get the first glimpse in e-book format here:

Speaking of the Deluxe Edition...

We got our final piece of artwork, and it may be my new favorite Shadow Watch image.

May I present... "Tori fights a Rulaq":

A quick update on the special edition.

The interior is now formatted and has been sent off to the printer. I will be ordering a "dummy" copy, so we can make sure the cover and artwork is printing just how we want it.

The printer will also send over the Title Pages for me to sign.

And then, the books will print.

And then, they'll ship.

And then, we get to hold this stunning deluxe edition of The Shadow Watch!

On that note, as we are finalizing the print run, the Late Backer store is closing, so this is your last chance to secure a copy until the campaign for the second book.

Pantheon #3 is coming to audio on Mar. 19

The final audiobook for the Pantheon Online trilogy is all set to launch in two weeks. I finished my preview a few weeks ago, and it sounds incredible once again. Christian Gilliland was the perfect voice for the series, and truly nails it on the finale.

You can pre-order now!

Writing Update

Things are moving a little slower on Children of the Gods than I'd like. But I still managed about 40 new pages last month.

Act 1 is nearly complete. The beginning of a new series often comes a little slow for me, as I'm doing a lot of world-building and character-building during that stage, which is a lot of fun.

So I'm letting myself enjoy the process and trying not to put too much pressure on it yet. But I'm aiming to ramp things up over the next few months.

A couple books worth checking out

First, a LitRPG omnibus from the phenomenal Phill Tucker...

And the second book in the Smokesmiths series from Joao Silva...

What I'm Nerding Out with...

Books -- I'm about halfway through Of Darkness and Light by Ryan Cahill at the moment, and because I both suffer from Fomo and also have a fierce insistence on reading before watching, I'm also a couple hundred pages into Shogun by James Clavell. Thoroughly enjoying them both.

TV / Film -- I'm nearly finished with SILO, which is excellent, but I am also a huge Band of Brothers fan, and so I may have let myself get pulled away by Masters of the Air.

Gaming -- I picked up Hogwarts Legacy over the holidays, and finally had some time to try it out, and I must say it's delightful.

Alright, that's all for now!

Time to dive into an epic story :)
