Black Friday(ish) Book Deals

(and nearly finished with the final Shadow Watch book)

Happy Thanksgiving to all my US readers! I hope you had a great, safe day. To everyone else, I hope you had a great, normal week. Well, as normal as anything is normal right now.

Me, my wife, and our son spent the day with my mother-in-law, who has been staying with us to help out with the little guy while we work from home. And of course, we Zoomed with our family out of town.

We had homemade Indian food for dinner, because we're not really turkey people. And it was sooo much better!

I have been in my writing cave for most of the month. I was optimistic about finishing Well of Shadows (the final Shadow Watch book) by the end of November. I kept a good steady pace all month, but it looks like this one will be on the longer side, which I had a feeling it probably would.

The first draft will likely come in at 110k or so (about 40 pages longer than Book 3's first draft), but I expect the final version will be more like 120k or more (making it the second longest in the series). I tend to really streamline for plot in the first draft, and flesh out things like descriptions in the second draft. So we will see. It may be longer. But what else would you expect from a good finale?

There are a lot of things to tie up in this one. But the payoffs are coming together really, really well. I have been really happy with it. And sad. And all the emotions.

Anyway, we are about 90% done, now! And I am hopeful to finish in the next couple weeks.
