Huge LitRPG Sale, and August Update

We're wrapping up back to school season in my house. I'm a former teacher, my wife remains a teacher, and now, with our oldest starting junior kindergarten, my life still runs on the school calendar.

It was definitely a little crazy dropping off our oldest for his first day this week at an elementary school. The past five years have gone by VERY quickly, and as parents, it feels like we are leaving an era behind. I suppose it will always feel like that, won't it? haha

I'm now settling back into writing mode again, and am hard at work on two "short stories," a Shadow Watch prequel, and a Children of the Gods prequel. While I've been brainstorming, researching, and plotting for Age of Fire #2, it has been a nice transition back into writing new words again.

Both stories look like they will wind up around 10k words or so, which is technically a novelette, not a short story, I guess.

And then, it will be all Age of Fire #2, which I am really itching to get started on.

The Sample Copy of Children of the Gods is HERE

It really turned out fantastic, overall! The dust jacket, color map, and color artwork all printed amazing.

We are making a couple minor adjustments, based off of this sample.

Our first design on the edges came out too dark, and so we are going with a lighter color that better matches the colors in the title.

You can't really see it in this photo, but the UV spot glossing on the fog didn't really work. My initial idea was to have this make the fog pop more, but the glossing looks splotchy at a certain angle, and honestly didn't really add anything to the fog. The illustration was already doing a great job at popping. So, we decided to use the glossing on the title typography instead, which I think will work a LOT better.

I will share much more detailed photos once I have a final copy of all the designs, but wanted to give you a taste. It is going to be amazing!
