Hey all!

I just received a copy of the final printed version of Darkling Queen! And it turned out absolutely stunning.

Here is a little collage of a few pics of the interior:

The whole shipment of books is making its way to the warehouse now, though this can take awhile before the books actually arrive.

Right now, I am anticipating a late May fulfillment. We were aiming for June so we are right on schedule or slightly ahead, which is always a great place to be!

Very excited for backers to see this one! It has some of my favorite pieces of artwork we've commissioned yet, and pictures can't quite do them justice.

If you missed the campaign, this is also last call for late backers, if you want any of the first three books before the final campaign.

Speaking of the final campaign...

If you haven't already, be sure to follow the campaign so you don't miss it! 

Most likely we are looking at a June launch, but will have an official date once Book Three ships out to backers.

Rachel St. Clair is wrapping up designs on an awesome slipcase for all four books, incorporating all four symbols and foil colors.

And Ömer Burak Önal is finishing up one of the most epic battle endsheets I've ever seen.... hopefully I can show you both of them next time!

On the left, the Descent to the Wellspring, by Andrew Maleski.

On the right, Anderson Magalhães depicted one of the most memorable moments in the final book, when Tes angrily defies the Council of Worlds.

Writing Update:

Children of Ash & Stone is currently at 75k words. I took a week off over Spring Break to go a on trip with my family, and it was nice to unplug for a few days. Over halfway there, and lots of wild moments happening.

The cover illustration is wrapping up this week, and once again, Joe Requeza has done something real special. I'm very excited to reveal it this summer.
