Brand New Shadow Watch Audiobooks are officially in the works

I mentioned this in my 2025 wrap-up news, but it is officially happening. I've wanted to do this for a couple of years now, and finally decided to just pull the trigger, as it were.

I still have a lot of appreciation for the original audiobooks. They were commissioned back in 2019, and the audio market was still a relatively new space and an expensive gamble for indie authors like myself. I opted to keep production costs as low as I could, as I was still a very new author, two books into my first series, and they had maybe sold 1000 copies at most. Fast forward to today, and they'll have sold 100k copies soon across all formats, and the series continues to be my biggest seller. And it's time for an update.

After working with Tim Campbell on the Children of the Gods audiobook, I knew I wanted him to be the long-term voice of the Shadow Watch.

Tim is phenomenal. An Audie award winner. He's recorded over 1000 audiobooks, across most genres, and narrated works by best-selling authors, including Veronica Roth and Jennifer Armentrout. He's one of my personal favorites and the best of the best.

And I am so excited that Tim Campbell will be the voice of the Shadow Watch Saga, along with the Age of Fire series.

These audiobooks will also reflect the definitive texts I re-edited while producing the deluxe editions, and production begins next week!

Quick Writing Update

Children of Ash & Stone has passed 60k words, closing in on the halfway point, and is coming along very well at this point. I feel very good about what's been written so far, and there are some very epic things in store in the second half.

And I've begun my final pass of edits for the definitive edition of Well of Shadows, as always, relatively minor things. Tightening up prose and adding clarity in a few moments.

The Final Shadow Watch Deluxe Campaign

Speaking of Well of Shadows, the deluxe editions for Darkling Queen are printing right now, and should arrive at the Merrick warehouse in May, if all goes well. And once they ship, we'll be launching the final campaign.

I am pretty crazy about how all four of these look together!

A couple things to check out

Here's a couple really neat projects that I backed recently, and are worth checking out!

This is a really cool project by an author pal focused on gamifying fitness as though you're training in an epic fantasy academy. Looks awesome!

The fifth and final book in J.D.L. Rosell's Ranger series is now live on Kickstarter. I've read the first book, and it is fantastic, and highly recommend them!
