We had our first rain in about 2.5 years on New Year's Eve. Gray clouds brewed for a few days, which was highly unusual (we get about 360 days a year of clear skies which is actually a lot more boring than it sounds). Lucky for us, we were at the park with our kids and got to enjoy the rain while outside.
It felt like a very cathartic end to 2021. The heavens opened and we all got drenched. It was the best!
Because rain is so infrequent in the UAE, it’s also very unusual to find storm water drains. As a result, we had some epic puddles for a few days.
I’m excited to let you know that my new series with Mike Kraus is coming out in a couple of weeks. I've been working hard most of last year on this series, and I think you'll really enjoy it.
